This week both of our gites were occupied, the first time this year that both have been in use. A nice 'early' start to the 'gite year' for us.
One by a family just having a weeks 'break'.
The other by a lady who came with her family last August & pre-booked this week for herself whilst she was here, wanting an intensive week of dog training with Elaine. She is here again with her two lovely Golden Retrievers & also bought a friend with her Australian Shepherd & Border Collie who also wanted the intensive training package. They have had a 2+ hour session each morning Sunday to Friday, so its been all go for Elaine! Our own dogs did Elaine proud giving demos of scent work and Hoopers.
The training has been very well received by both & the dogs have made a good 'in road' into the world of 'Scent Work & 'Hoopers'.
One of the guests has been so impressed with Elaine's methods that this morning she announced that she would like to return up to 4 times a year for more intensive training!
Great news and a great 'icing on the cake' ending to the week's sessions!
Elaine has also this week, been approached by the Presidents of 2 dog clubs in France, who have asked her to travel to their clubs to give workshops on Hoopers in the Autumn. This will give us the opportunity to see other parts of France as we did last year when we travelled to Montpellier where she gave a 2-day Scent Work Workshop. So another 'working holiday' (hee hee) for Elaine.
Elaine is now qualified as an Instructor & Judge for the World Scent Dog Association & as a Level 2 Instructor and Assessor with Canine Hoopers World.

Just to keep extra busy Elaine has also recently launched an online Hoopers course, which has a good number of students from all over France & also some from Belgium participating.
