What do I love most in the world? Running full speed on the beach with my three sisters, sand under my paws and the wind flapping in my ears!
Around the gîtes, there are lots of amazing beaches where we dogs can run freely from October to May (yes, really — including May!). Let me tell you, it’s paradise for happy noses 🐶✨
And even in summer, no worries! There’s a dog-friendly beach where, during the nesting season, the only rule is to stay on leash. That means you can enjoy the sea all year round, without frustration.

Nearby towns and villages for shops etc
Just a 5-minute drive away, the village of Saint-Dolay offers bakeries, butcher shops, pharmacies, bars, restaurants and other essential services.
Five minutes in the other direction, Nivillac provides a post office, a tobacconist, a bakery and a mini supermarket.
In just 10 minutes, let yourself be charmed by La Roche-Bernard, a delightful medieval town with cobbled streets, riverside restaurants, a Thursday market, river cruises, a swimming pool and water activities — a must-see during your Southern Brittany holiday.
A 25-minute walk from your gîte, the friendly bar in Saint-Cry welcomes you for a relaxing moment. Like La Belle Vilaine, it is perfectly suited to children and dogs. 🐾
La Grande Brière - a mini-version of the Norfolk Broads. 20 mins
Looking for nature and wide open spaces to share with your dog? La Grande Brière, in Loire-Atlantique, is the perfect destination for a green getaway.
This remarkable natural park offers unique marshland landscapes and rich wildlife: wild birds, herons, otters and many other species to observe along the canals.
Here, dogs are allowed (kept on leash) and can accompany you both on the walking trails and on boat trips, whether guided or self-guided. A rare opportunity to explore nature without leaving your four-legged companion behind.

Good news for travelling guests: dogs are allowed everywhere, including inside the château, as long as they are kept on leash. Numerous calm activities and guided visits, without sudden loud noises, are offered throughout the year, allowing for a relaxed discovery of the site — perfectly suited to sensitive dogs.
From the château, a pleasant walk leads to the beach, which is accessible to dogs for most of the year, extending your visit with a relaxing moment by the sea.
The château also offers evening sound-and-light shows. As these events may be unsettling for some dogs, guests have the option to leave their dog comfortably at the gîte while attending the show, ensuring everyone’s well-being.

Just a 15-minute drive from our gîtes, Kernevey offers a perfect nature escape to enjoy with your dog.
Surrounded by peaceful woodland, a shaded path circles the pond, inviting you to enjoy a gentle, refreshing walk away from the hustle and bustle.
In fine weather the pond becomes a popular spot for swimming with your dog, in a calm, natural setting where everyone can relax.
It is a firm favourite with our guests who often return several times to picnic and swim with their dogs during their stay.
