Thanks Elaine & Paul for a great stay............. the area is a complete delight. Poppy & Lolly loved it here especially on the beaches & of course on the great agility course. We are sold on that & will be taking training classes! Gite has been comfortable & is well furnished. Fantastic location for a restful holiday. Loved La Roche Bernard..... Loved Vannes old town, market & port truly worth a visit..........Piriac sur mer was wonderful, a real delight...................and free parking in all the towns...... the medieval town of Guerande is excellent......... La Baule was particularly spectacular, clean sand,wonderful promenade & best meal at La Cafe Bouille. Mustn't forget, great walks, easy driving acceptance of dogs everywhere & of course the excellent weather. Thanks Paul & Elaine for a fabulous base, your great help with the vets making everything so easy. Oh! And lastly everyone was so friendly. Janet, Danny & Peanut. September |
We said we'd be back & here we are (see June 06)...........2 weeks of delightful weather, what a difference from the biblical floods we had in South Wales! As a result we've had a very restful & enjoyable time. Made it to Vannes this time, an interesting town, especially the old part with a good market (Wed & Sat). we returned to our favourite creperie at 15 Place du Bouffay in La Roche Bernard. THANK YOU PAUL & ELAINE for letting us stay and having such a wonderful time. One week is definitely not enough. ........ St Nazaire - the cruise liners are huge & the submarine pens very interesting............"great you can take the dog into restaurants"...... We saw gorgeous Gracie & Ficelle strut their stuff on the agility course which was great fun, even our Foggy had a go.......should have stayed another week am sure there will be another time. What a beautiful gite in perfect surroundings! A real home-from-home - fully-equipped with everything you would need. I can't think of anything more idyllic than sitting in the peace and serenity of such a beautiful setting with a glass of wine! We will definitely be back as there is so much more to see and do. This was our first visit to France and we have not been disappointed. Our gite has been excellent and has had everything we needed. Gracie and Ficelle made a very good impression on us and we loved their agility and dancing skills. A big thank you to Paul and Elaine for making us all feel so welcome. The moth trap is fascinating and we really appreciated being introduced to the birdlife. We will certainly be back! The Stoniers August |

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We have been made to feel extremely welcome from the beginning. There is so much to do and see in the area and we particularly appreciated the agility and dog dancing display put on by Gracie and Ficelle. We have just had the most wonderful fortnight. The gite was perfect in every way and is very well maintained. It's the perfect location - so peaceful and surrounded by great walks. Many thanks for an enjoyable stay in your gite. A lovely location. Piriac Sur Mer for rock pooling, Vannes for the market, La Roche Bernard for the boats, La Baule for its beaches & Penestin is also good for sandcastles with the children. We've had a wonderful week, much enhanced by being shown some of the best birdwatching & beauty spots by Paul & Elaine........... The gite is wonderfully peaceful & comfortable & we hope to return. First impressions were good, lovely countryside very pleasant gite & a warm welcome from the owners, Paul & Elaine.................. Even on this short walk we were impressed by the variety of wildlife that Elaine had seen and by that which we saw - Cuckoos, distant Hoopoes, Linnets, Coypu, & various butterflies. This is followed by an extensive 4 pages detailing Mr & Mrs Gee's varied outings within this beautiful region on Brittany! Thank you Paul & Elaine & daughter Cheryl for helping us enjoy our week.
