This old barge on the River Vilaine in La Roche Bernard has been turned into a Restaurant called "Les Copains d'à Bord" - a play on words between "Friends on board" and "Friends first" (Les Copains D'abord)- which is the title of a famous old French song by Georges Brassens. |
The service and food at this restaurant cannot be faulted and was an excellent choice to celebrate a family birthday in April. This is simply a floating restaurant situated in the old port. There is also the possibility to take a river dinner cruise on "Les Vedettes Jaunes". All only a few minutes drive from your holiday gites. |

These beautiful gardens are always a pleasure to see in the old quarter of Vannes. |
The 18th century architecture in Nantes (right) is completely different from the medieval buildings in Vannes. Vannes is around 40 minutes drive from the gites. |
