Well, the time came to purchase another Volvo! I'd planned to buy one later this year to replace the Volvo 480. However it's my father-in-laws fault! He phoned my mobile one morning in early Feb 09 and said, "Theres a Volvo 850 estate for sale near to our Christines and its a really good one by all accounts" By mid-afternoon that day I had the photos sent to me and had bought it! So a week later saw me flying to UK in all the snow. Staying in Derby with my brother. Picking the car up, and then driving down to Portsmouth for the ferry then onto here.

This piccie is back home in France, with French plates fitted after going through the re-registration process. Why did I go back to the UK tocollect a car? I hear you ask. Well for the same year model here, left hand drive of course I'd be looking at forking out three times the price. So even after flights, ferries & re-reg' costs I'm still 'quids in'.
It is a 1996 Volvo 850 GLT 2.5 20valve by the way.

 

Volvo 240 Estate car, 1989.

My 1989 Volvo 240 Estate car with B200E engine started life in the Portsmouth area of England but now enjoys touring in the beautiful South Brittany area of France. These Volvo models are fairly rare here as are 140's, Amazons & other Volvo models, so what are you waiting for? Bring your Volvo car and holiday in style!

As you can see my Volvo 240 Estate car did not travel alone to France. We also brought my Volvo 480 ES Turbo auto -and before you ask, yes it does leak! The ES on this car really does stand for En-suite!
